The Master Programme in Interaction design deals with the relation between people's behaviour and the behaviour of products and services. The interaction designer gives shape to that relation, bringing cognitive, emotional and physical aspects together in a successful whole.

Faculty staff as well as academic and industrial partners are out of this world. About the course This course looks at interaction design from a cognitive science perspective. Using (digital) artefacts as the main study object, the focus is on theoretical considerations of interaction design and its (cognitive) consequences on human users. The course consists of two parts: Step 2: Portfolio is uploaded to Umeå Institute of Design webpage (See instructions below) Upload your portfolio and a letter of motivation Upload closed Work samples should present applicant's strengths in a visually concise manner. However, one or two of the submitted works samples can describe in detail what kind of design process was used. A graduate from the master’s program in human computer interaction and user experience is a specialist in the evaluation, development and design of digital products and services where user experiences are key.
